The Bishops are a British indie rock band from London, UK.

Mike and Pete Bishop (who studied at Chelsea College of Art and Design) are twin brothers and formed the band in 2002 when they met their eventual third member, Chris McConville, whilst working at their local pub, "The Kings Head", in Barbican. The band have released two albums internationally: 'The Bishops' (2007) and 'For Now' (2009). Younger brother Alex Bishop joined the band in November 2009 and since then they have become a four piece. The band recorded an EP 'Sojourn' which was released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in November 2010 and in the UK and France at the beginning of 2011. The EP marked a departure from their prominent garage/beat sound of their first two records into a more contemporary and alternative direction. The band are currently working on a hotly anticipated new album that will be released internationally in 2012.
